THEATREIS.DIGITAL is multiplatform theatrical structured comprised by an online market, a workplace and a global theatre elearning platform, for people anywhere and everywhere. It is a place to meet, exchange ideas, create and co-create, make and succeed, make and fail and make again, experiment, find peers, engage audiences, experiment with them, listen, talk, teach and learn and get paid for it.

Theatreis.Digital is an online platform for theatre-watchers to meet, exchange ideas, co-create with theatre-makers, get listened, feel and become a part of the theatrical creative process, and watch and participate in theatre shows all around the world.

Theatreis.Digital is diverse, inclusive, charitable, and working towards full accessibility.

When we first worked on this idea in 2012, we were met with tons of scepticism. Click here to read all about that nice story. Now the time has come, a place like this has become a global need.

Now, in 2020, understanding that without radical re-thinking and re-imagining of the field there is no long-term survival for theatre professionals, we are building Theatreis.Digital, a form of Noah’s Ark, taking us to a world reimagined.

The world is reshaping right before our eyes, and theatre-makers need to have a say in that new form.

We need to be able to understand how everything that is happening affects us, because with that knowledge and the opportunities technology has for us, we can build a space in the digital world where we can transfer our skills and get paid for them as we would do in the world before the pandemic, even better because Theatreis.Digital is not constrained to geographical limits, and our audience is global, the world is literally our stage. So hop on, we are going to make some waves.

Theatreis.Digital has been founded by digital theatre-maker Beatriz Cabur and transmedia storyteller Belén Santa-Olalla, supported by hundreds of theatre-makers and theatre-watchers around the globe.

Let’s make this experience enjoyable, rich, human, engaging. We are making history. Join us. Don’t miss out. Welcome to the present!
